Primary Job Function:

The Reynoldsburg City Schools Assessments and Data Coordinator, under the direction of the Director of Curriculum and Instruction, will provide leadership oversight of federal, state, and local testing, attendance, discipline, and the collection, analysis, and utilization of data to drive decision-making and improve student outcomes across all grade levels. The Assessments and Data Coordinator will work with staff on the interpretation and implication of assessment results to instruction and program design.

Minimum Qualifications:

– Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in education
– Bachelor’s degree in education or related field
– Valid Ohio teaching license
– Experience in data analysis, assessment coordination, or educational research

Preferred Qualifications:

– Administrative license
– Master’s degree in education or related field

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Primary functions may include the following duties, responsibilities, skills, abilities, and other characteristics. – Coordinates all aspects of assessments including maintaining inventory of assessment materials, training staff on test administration, security, and reporting, and supporting/ monitoring sites on testing implementation to include alternate assessment as well
– Coordinate the planning, administration, and logistics of various assessments, including standardized tests, district assessments, and other formative and summative evaluations
– Lead and facilitate professional development to staff districtwide on assessment data systems, the interpretation of assessment results, and the use of data systems to inform instructional practices
– Assist in designing benchmark assessments that are highly correlated and predictive of current state and federal assessments
– Analyze, synthesize, and interpret reports from assessments and evaluation data as it relates to individual student performance, sub groups, and school improvement for use in decision-making
– Accurately compile data from multiple assessments to develop student, subject, grade, and school performance profiles
– Research and investigate software and reporting requirements
– Responsible for providing leadership to the district regarding compliance with Comprehensive Continuous Improvement Plan (CCIP) which includes but is not limited to:
– Submitting District and building One Needs Assessment
– Alignment with Strategic Plan
– Alignment with One Plan
– Continuous Improvement plans
– Professional Development plans

Communication and Support

– Collaborate with administrators, teachers, and other stakeholders to develop data-informed strategies and action plans to improve student achievement and school performance
– Work closely with teachers to understand their assessment needs, provide support in developing assessments aligned with learning objectives, and analyze assessment results together to inform instructional decisions
– Collaborate with school administrators to align assessment practices with school goals, provide insights into student achievement trends, and contribute to data-informed decision-making at the school or district level
– Provide individualized support and coaching to teachers who may require additional data to differentiate instruction and meet the diverse needs of students
– Collaborate with school counselors and parent liaisons to provide resources and information to parents and students about assessment practices, understanding assessment results, and supporting student learning at home

Budget/ Finance

– Work with School administration to support making fiscally responsible data-driven decisions


– Knowledge of assessment principles, psychometrics, and data analysis techniques
– Knowledge of educational technology tools and data management systems
– Skilled in effective listening and communication
– Skilled at presenting information professionally, concisely, and effectively, both verbally and in writing
– Skilled at providing sound judgment
– Skilled at attending to detail and the highest level.
– Skills in organization, time management, task prioritization and recordkeeping
– Ability to plan, organize, and oversee assigned work programs, including monitoring work schedules and work performance
– Ability to work well under pressure and use sound judgment, including appropriate handling of confidential matters
– Ability to provide guidance and direction to staff and promote a team environment
– Ability to facilitate and promote conflict resolution
– Ability to interact positively and effectively with, students, staff, and administrators
– Ability to use computers and/or electronic equipment to fulfill job functions
– Ability to suggest appropriate and effective interventions for pupils from diverse populations

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:

– Physical Demands – While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate with others. The employee is required to sit or stand and move around for extended periods of time. While performing the duties of this job the employee must be able to push, pull, lift and carry over 25 pounds on occasion.
– Working Conditions – The employee in this position may experience occasional exposure to blood, bodily fluids and tissue. The employee may also be required to interact with unruly children.
– Driving Requirement – This position may require driving.
