• Oversee IT operations to ensure smooth delivery and operation of IT services and staff
• Develop strategy for all critical technology services needed to support teaching and learning.
• Develop strategy for critical applications at the district
• Manage critical enabling applications on a daily basis (ex: Google).
• Collaborate with technology partners at the district to continuously refine service delivery
• Develop, manage, and track the IT department’s annual budget
• Consult senior-level stakeholders across the district to identify business and technology needs
• Create processes and standards for selection, implementation, and support of systems
• Lead professional development efforts aimed at improving technology’s impact on teaching and learning.
• Coordination and communication of all IT initiatives and service-related impact to the district
• IT Solution Selection and Oversight
• Program Management (Operationalization, Adoptions, and Oversight)

EVALUATION: Performance of these responsibilities and skills will be evaluated annually by the Superintendent.

Experience Required
• Minimum of 2-year degree in computer related field
• 8+ years of experience working in IT operations, supervising technology teams, and
overseeing large information technology projects
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with teams across the
entire organization
• Excellent leadership and decision-making skills
• Strong knowledge of project management principles
• Experience in implementing and maintaining hardware, software, etc.
• Experience in troubleshooting & maintenance of computer hardware & software
• Experience with Windows platforms & other Microsoft products, including Active
Directory & Terminal Services
• Experience with Google for Education, Gmail and Google services
• Experience with iOS and management of Apple devices on an iOS platform
• Experience managing the installation, maintenance, and upgrade of classroom technology
devices. Ex: Clevertouch panels
• Must be self-motivated & able to work alone to complete projects as needed
• Ability to communicate clearly & assist staff and students on technology related issues
• Excellent understanding of applications, computer systems, security and databases
• Willing to help instill in students the belief and practice of ethical principles and
democratic values
