Regional Coordinator – High Schools That Work (HSTW)

Ohio High Schools That Work (HSTW) is an organization based on the national Making Schools Work school improvement model.  The Ohio HSTW regions provide coaching, professional development and resources to schools that participate in the Ohio network.

The CSE Ohio Region is looking for a Regional Coordinator that will direct the work of the consultants and project assistant to support schools in raising student achievement using the Making Schools Work framework.

Candidates must have a current Ohio administrator or teaching license, be self-directed and willing to work collaboratively with the state director and the other regional offices. Leadership experience and an understanding of school data are required. Experience with High Schools That Work is recommended. Duties include the following:

  • Provide instruction and supervision of coaching activities.
  • Develop the regional budget and complete related grant activities.
  • Oversee the work of the project assistant.
  • Coordinate and conduct professional development for sites.
  • Promote positive public relations through frequent communication with stakeholders.
  • Communicate/collaborate with the other HSTW regions to share services and resources.
  • Promote the resources available to sites through the Ohio Department of Education-Office of Graduate Success.
  • Communicate HSTW expectations to staff and to schools.
  • Work with the fiscal agent to assure grant funds are spent appropriately.

The regional coordinator works under a 260-day contract and is an employee of the fiscal agent for the grant. The salary range for the position is between $70,000 to $85,000 and is based on a candidates qualifications and experience.  The work location is flexible.
