The Amherst Exempted  Village Schools are seeking a highly qualified leader for the position of Superintendent.

QUALIFICATIONS

The Amherst Exempted Village Board of Education identified the following qualifications as being of particular importance for the position of Superintendent. The ideal candidate must be committed to the highest personal and professional standards and exhibit leadership in the district and community. The successful candidate will demonstrate:

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present the district’s vision, goals, and objectives in a transparent and easily understood manner.
• A friendly, approachable demeanor and willingness to work closely with district leadership, staff, and community.
• Active participation in the community by promoting partnerships and collaboration between parents, community leaders, businesses, and other stakeholders.
• Integrity with high standards of honesty, ethics, and personal conduct.
• A strong financial manager that balances the educational and financial needs of the school district.
• Ability to lead and implement a long-term facility plan.
• Leader that has the ability to generate support for school tax issues.
