– Establish and maintain long-range fiscal and building plans and prepare the annual budget based on District resources and needs.
– Ensure that all District fiscal activities comply with the laws and regulations of the State, the negotiated agreements and policies of the Board, and the rules of the Superintendent.
– Provide for efficient management of the District fiscal systems of purchasing and supply management.
– Ensure that proper personnel are employed and positions levels adequately maintained in the areas of his/her responsibility.
– Perform other such duties as the Board may direct.

Experience Required:

  1. Valid State of Ohio Treasurer’s License or ability to obtain.
  2. Bachelor’s Degree or higher with emphasis in accounting, school business management, or related field from an accredited college or university.
  3. Successful experience in school finance, financial management as a school district Treasurer/CFO, and or leading an organization/company.
  4. Strong team leadership skills and demonstrated ability to work cooperatively as a member of an administrative team.
  5. Knowledge of school administration, Ohio school finance, and Ohio school law.
  6. Proficient technology skills and knowledge of applications necessary to access timely and relevant information and dissemination of same.
  7. Strong interpersonal skills to relate effectively with the Board of Education, staff members, students, parents, and community members.
  8. Ability to create and maintain an atmosphere of respect and trust.
  9. Additional qualifications as specified by the Milton-Union Exempted Village School District Board of Education.

Wage or Salary: $85,000-$100,000
Approximate Work Hours or Days: 260 Days

Although specific dates and times are subject to change, first round interviews are expected during the week of February 8. Commensurate with experience, the Board of Education is prepared to offer the final candidate a multi-year contract and competitive benefits package with yearly salary ranging between $85,000-$100,000.
